Slide HQ

July 27th, 2007 by Stephen

Slide LogoSlide.com does a lot of stuff including image hosting, slideshows, Myspace codes, photo sharing….etc. The creations that users make can be used on many different sites like Myspace, Facebook, Bebo, Friendster, Xanga, Blogger. Slide is located in San Francisco and recently (January 2007) raised a rumoured $20M in capital. The money has obviously been put to good use securing a very nice office space, while surely expanding the number of employees and website capabilities.

New Feed for Subscribers

July 26th, 2007 by Stephen

When I launched the site I wasn’t expecting a huge influx of traffic like I received the other day. While I am thankful for it, I didn’t have the opportunity to create a Feedburner feed for people that want to subscribe to Office Snapshots. This will obviously help me figure out how many people are subscribing.

The new feed is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/OfficeSnapshots

It no longer has images in it, but I don’t think that will matter much as it wasn’t possible to view all of the images anyway.

Thanks for subscribing!

Joost - London Offices

July 26th, 2007 by Stephen

Joost LogoJoost, the hybrid internet/tv thing, which everyone has been abuzz about the last several months, has offices in three cities worldwide. These particular images are from the London office, but I’m hoping to post some from they New York and Leiden offices soon. The company itself has landed a key partnership opportunity with Viacom for some of its programming, as well as recently surpassing one million beta users. All things being said, they should continue to grow and will most likely need to expand their offices once the product is released from its beta stage.

Anywho, their offices are pretty sweet so check ‘em out.

Campusbug HQ

July 26th, 2007 by Stephen

Campusbug logoChances are that you haven’t ever heard of Campusbug, but I think they are still worth a mention. The Anaheim based service describes itself as social networking, online learning, and e-commerce all-in-one. From what I can tell, the service is geared toward helping you do better in your studies. So instead of spending all day reading comments on your ex’s page, you can use at least some of that time to improve your scholastics with practice tests, a bibliography creator, and flashcards. They also allow knowledgeable people to answer questions for money.

They are self-sustaining right now (no VC funding), which is pretty amazing for any company on the internets these days. That being said, they don’t have the swankiest office, but at least they are not hemorrhaging money out like so many other companies. Campusbug also has 10 employees working there.

Woot! HQ

July 25th, 2007 by Stephen

Woot LogoWoot sells one item per day, lots of them. They are located just north of Dallas, Texas in a city by the name of Carrollton. They recently expanded from selling a bunch of random electronics stuff to both wine and shirts. I haven’t ever purchased anything from the site, because whenever I try, it is during a Woot Off and I order too late. After that happens, I generally cry myself to sleep.

I first ran across these images on Digg, so props to the submitter.

IMAGE CREDIT: I have no clue who actually took these pictures, but I’ll guess it was whoever updates the Woot Blog.
