Mahalo - During the Joystiq/Engadget Meetup
July 17th, 2007 by Stephen
Mahalo is Jason Calacanis‘ latest startup. Basically, it is a human powered search engine that uses humans to generate search results. If you need a visual, think of the giant field of humans generating power for the machines in The Matrix. From what I can tell, Mahalo’s HQ is in some sort of warehouse-type building in Santa Monica, CA. I couldn’t get any real pictures that resemble a tour-like activity, so these shots taken during the Joystiq/Engadget Meetup will have to do. Your guess is as good as mine as to what everything is, but I’d say that the one with computers is where people do work-like activity.
