Campusbug HQ

Chances are that you haven’t ever heard of Campusbug, but I think they are still worth a mention. The Anaheim based service describes itself as social networking, online learning, and e-commerce all-in-one. From what I can tell, the service is geared toward helping you do better in your studies. So instead of spending all day reading comments on your ex’s page, you can use at least some of that time to improve your scholastics with practice tests, a bibliography creator, and flashcards. They also allow knowledgeable people to answer questions for money.
They are self-sustaining right now (no VC funding), which is pretty amazing for any company on the internets these days. That being said, they don’t have the swankiest office, but at least they are not hemorrhaging money out like so many other companies. Campusbug also has 10 employees working there.

Great article! But Campusbug has a few advantages compared to other social networking websites. Employees interact with users all the time which is amazing and they ALWAYS listen (Most websites want a lot of users to agree to change something on the website), but Campusbug will listen to that one person and allow it to flow through the other employees for their opinions. The other cool feature they offer is the Reward System….your have to sign up to check out that feature because I wouldn’t want to spoil it hehe.
