I wasn’t really expecting to get hit like crazy today, but Digg, Reddit, ArsTechnica Forums, and Twitter all decided to lay siege on the Office Snapshots castle. Put simply, I wasn’t prepared.
The site seems to be somewhat stable now. I limited the number of posts that loaded on the homepage from 10 to 5, so it wouldn’t get hit so hard all at once. There should be some good posts coming soon too, so be on the lookout.

Craigslist is a man’s online classifieds that anyone can use. It cuts straight to the chase without all the frills, and without crying while still telling you that “everything is okay”. Everyone appreciates this, because when you want to find a free box of computer parts from 1995 or an apartment in NYC, you need something that just works.
Their office is equally great. It is located in San Francisco, just like so many other web companies these days. Instead of having a huge corporate loft, craigslist is run out of a quaint house-ish building. Hooray for affordable rent! (In case you were wondering, the third picture is the bathroom)

Twitter, the microblogging/texting/”let everyone know what your doing every second of your day” service, is as far as I know, not its own company. It is owned by Obvious Corp, which is located in San Francisco. Obvious Corp, which also owns Odeo, has a nice multi-level office space that seems to fit their needs just fine. I would assume that this office space is shared by both Odeo and Twitter, but I can’t be sure. Suffice it to say that if it is, I’ll make another post with the exact same pictures, titled as “Odeo HQ (Obvious Corp)” just to double my pageviews from 10 to 20.
Personally, between the Twitter and Jaiku pictures I have seen so far, I like Twitter’s office better. However, Jyri from Jaiku mentioned that they just moved offices, so there could be an office rumble in the works.

Eventful is an online events website that alows its users to find, share, create and promote all kinds of events. The site has even been featured in a couple segments on CNN highlighting its usefulness for presidential candidates in the upcoming 2008 elections. The company is headquartered in San Diego, CA, but specifically speaking it is a long stones throw from the beach (a few miles), and basically right next door to UCSD. Regardless of location, they seem to be growing at a nice pace, and with key big media mentions, look for them to keep moving up.
Their offices, which occupy a suite in the building pictured below, are pretty nice too, even the interns get sweeter computers than I have. *Sigh*
UPDATE: Not all of these images are from Eventful’s current offices. Only the first three are
I’ll be sure to try and get some new images for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
