Cisco UK
August 29th, 2007 by Stephen
Cisco, the company best known for their routers, is probably the largest company we have featured on here. In addition to their Cisco brand, the company also owns WebEx, Linksys, and Scientific Atlanta. With nearly 56,000 employees, it is no doubt that Cisco has some nice space for their employees to inhabit.
The images shown below are taken from the company’s UK office, and look to be mostly from the welcome area and lobby. If you’re wondering where the company’s name comes from, you will be interested to know that it is just a shortened ‘San Francisco‘. And the logo is a version of the Golden Gate Bridge. I hadn’t put all that together until just now, so you can tell that I am really tired, really stupid, or both.
I will also work on posting some pictures of the actual workspace the employees get their work done in.

actually, the Connected Workplace (as they call it) was previously implemented on only one floor of a building, that has only recently been expanded into 4 of cisco’s new buildings that they are expanding into

I work in a Cisco office on the continent, and have visited five others globally in the last 18 months or so. I have to admit - our offices are nice places to work. The external rooms can be very impressive, like these, but even the more internal ones are usually roomy, well-planned and well-outfitted. More clutter, of course!
To the former intern: you made more than one error, but the thing to remember is not to apologise.
