My Tour of Mahalo HQ

August 28th, 2007 by Stephen

A little while back, we posted some images taken at the Mahalo office during the Joystiq meetup. Those didn’t quench my thirst for a look inside their offices, so I went ahead and set a tour up. Luckily for me, Mahalo is one of the few companies located somewhat near my house.

Special thanks to Tyler Crowley for letting me hang out for a while and also help hang some pictures.

Engauge Digital Offices

August 27th, 2007 by Stephen

Spunlocig LogoSpunlogic is basically a jack-of-all-trades interactive agency. They work on building and developing websites, portals, virtual worlds, and e-commerce applications; offer email marketing, behavioral research, and user experience work to clients; and even do a bit of online advertising. The company was just named on Inc. magazine’s list of the 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.

The company’s office space is located in Atlanta, Georgia, where their 66 employees work on the 17th floor of the building. Though the company is growing rapidly, which can often stifle fun and creativity, each department is given a decorating budget for their region of the office.

I really like their use of the windows as whiteboards for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because they offer a great view out over the city. Secondly, because I can now use my telescope to spy on their secret company brainstorming sessions. If Office Snapshots doesn’t work out, I’m pretty sure that I’ll be able to sell their secrets to the Russians.

Home, Sweet Home

August 24th, 2007 by Stephen

Well, I am officially back from my road trip to San Francisco.  Thankfully, I was able to check out the work spaces of 3 different companies.   I also have photos of my visit to Mahalo.  Look forward to seeing those snapshots begin to be posted next week.

Sorry for not posting any snapshots today, I have been swamped getting ready for the school year.  This is my first year teaching, so there is so much to be done.  Who would have though that 7th and 8th grade history courses would be so much preparation!

Doubleclick – Thornton Offices

August 22nd, 2007 by Stephen

Doubleclick LogoDoubleclick is a huge advertising force online. It is pretty impossible to browse the internet without running across one of their advertisements. They were recently in the news for their being acquired by Google for $3.1B, but has obviously been a large part of the advertising boom on the internet over the last couple years.

These offices are in Thornton, which is a suburb of Denver, Colorado. This office has around 200 employees, which is far more than most of the other companies we have featured. This particular building was purchased about 10 years ago from Cigna (the employee healthcare company). While the company has been an obvious success, I am wondering what would have happened to them if the ‘doubleclick’ had never been invented.

Sinc HQ

August 22nd, 2007 by Stephen

Sinc.us LogoSinc is a company that works to create and enhance the brand of their clients. The company mainly works in Brazil, and has been very successful there since it was founded. As one of the highest honored creative agencies in Brazil, there is no doubt that the company has what it takes to get the job done.

Here are a few pictures form their office in São Paulo, Brazil. From what I can gather, it looks like a pretty nice space, that really likes it’s multi-colored waste receptacles. I will try to get a few more pictures that show some of the desks and workstations, but for now this is what I have to show. I’ll be sure to post the additional images when I get them.
