Ning HQ

August 21st, 2007 by Stephen

Ning LogoNing is “the only online service where you can create, customize, and share your own Social Network for free in seconds”. Having not used the service myself, I can’t vouch for its claim, but they did just close a $44M round of funding, so someone must feel that the service lives up to it.

Their office space is located in Palo Alto, so you know it is going to be pretty nice. Oddly enough, as I was driving around yesterday, I stumbled across East Palo Alto, which is definitely not Palo Alto. Who would have thought that one side of a freeway could be so different from the other?

Technorati HQ

August 20th, 2007 by Stephen

Technorati LogoTechnorati tracks what is going on on the web right now. Currently, they track nearly 100M blogs, which is obviously a large portion of all blogs in the world. As far as office culture goes, they just laid-off 8 employees and the CEO stepped down, which can do a doozy on the office morale. I’m guessing this is the reason we weren’t allowed to stop by and take some pictures of their office in person.

These images were taken in their San Francisco office, which is just around the corner from AT&T Park, home of the SF Giants. They were also taken a couple years ago, so it is possible that the office may look entirely different now.

EDIT: Gah! I forgot to resize the images so they fit. Fixed.

I am currently up in San Francisco for the weekend hoping to get into some company offices for some snapshots, though I didn’t have the best of luck yesterday. Technorati said no, and Digg is under more construction, so hopefully we’ll have better luck on Monday.

In case you missed any posts this week, here they are:

Viadeo HQ in Paris, France
Goowy HQ in San Diego, CA
Vanksen Group in Luxembourg
WebMD in Portland, OR
PlayMyGame HQ in Aachen, Germany
Reuters in London
Accenture in Montreal
NowPublic HQ in Vancouver, BC

NowPublic HQ

August 17th, 2007 by Stephen

NowPublic LogoNowPublic is crowd-powered news. If you know something that is newsworthy, you can add it to the site accompanied by video, audio, or plain ol’ images. Its 127k+ members report news in over 140 countries, all working toward breaking and reporting on the news that changes today’s world.

Their headquarters are in Vancouver, British Colombia (Canada) and look really nice. They also recently closed a round of funding for $10.6M, so it would seem clear that they will either be upgrading their space or expanding their employee base (probably both).

Accenture - Montreal

August 17th, 2007 by Jose

Accenture LogoAccenture is the world’s largest consulting firm, specializing in technology services. They have over 150,000 employees in 150 offices. That’s almost as many people as Office Snapshots employs (almost). These pictures are from their attractive Montreal offices.

Accenture sponsors Tiger Woods, we wrote about Accenture, so that basically means that Tiger Woods is our best friend. You might need to brush up on your logic if that doesn’t make sense.
