Creative Commons HQ

September 18th, 2007 by Stephen

CC LogoCreative Commons is responsible for opening up a lot of the creative avenues on the web today. Their licensing makes it possible to keep control of a work, but allows others to have freedom to many activities that would not have been possible under an ominous *All Rights Reserved* license. CC is the reason a site like this is even feasible because a majority of the images here have been licensed for use with only attribution, meaning we need to give the photographer credit, but not work out a licensing deal with him/her.

Their main headquarters are technically located in San Francisco, but are actually located in each of our hearts. Thank you Creative Commons!
