My Tour of Netvibes SF

October 31st, 2007 by Stephen

Netvibes LogoAs many of you may know, Netvibes allows their users to customize their homepage experience. They also have custom pages built for specific websites which allow users to browse through pages built for them by their favorite sites. The service basically allows you to organize all of the information you have ever wanted to know about on an easy to use interface.

We have actually featured Netvibes before, but last time I visited San Francisco, they were nice enough to let me come in and poke around the office for a little while. (Special thanks to Elvine for that!) The space is shared with a couple other companies, Timebridge (featured here) and Tagged (maybe coming soon).

The New York Times HQ

October 30th, 2007 by Jose

NYTimes LogoNo, the New York Times isn’t a tech company. But they are hugely important online, with 13 million visitors to the site each month. Founded in 1851, The New York Times is widely regarded as the most important newspaper in the United States. And very recently, they opened up TimesSelect to the world for free. Now I know all sorts of things that I didn’t know before. Like, did you know we landed on the moon? That’s crazy.

As you might have guessed, their main offices are in Manhattan, near Times Square (quite fitting). The offices are very sophisticated and sharp; I personally like the touches of red that show up all around the building. And you can’t beat those ergonomic chairs. The view is nice, too, I guess. If you’re into that kind of stuff.

I Love Rewards HQ

October 29th, 2007 by Stephen

ILR LogoI love rewards, you love rewards, we all love rewards! I Love Rewards is a company that builds online rewards programs for businesses in order to help motivate employees, build customer loyalty and increase sales. While working hard at assisting other companies, I Love Rewards has done a stellar job at creating an enviable work atmosphere of their own (as you will see in the photos below). The company is also one of Canada’s top employers, being named to several ‘Top 100 Lists’.

The company office is located in an old building in Toronto and accommodates around 40 employees. While there is a lot more that can be said, I will just move on to the pictures.

We are SiteMeter’s October “Featured Site”

October 29th, 2007 by Stephen

SiteMeter LogoI almost forgot to mention this, but we are Sitemeter’sFeatured Site‘ for the month of October. I have been using Sitemeter to gain some knowledge about who visits Office Snapshots ever since we launched. I like their service a lot so I am pretty honored to be mentioned.

This actually came about because I had emailed them hoping to get some pictures of their office space. As it turns out, they don’t really have an office, but Patrick checked out our site and thought it was pretty fun so he offered to have it be the month’s feature. While they don’t have an office, I am hoping to get some drawings of what the site would look like if they had one.

So if you want to learn more about myself and Office Snapshots check out the interview over at Sitemeter.

…and don’t worry there is a post coming :)

A Little Weekend Update

October 27th, 2007 by Stephen

Me at Mahalo

Well hello readers, we are finally back in full force here, which is most excellent news. It seems pretty crazy that this site was launched only 3 months ago, because we have so seen so many awesome offices thus far. We have been really excited this week as we broke our record of Feedburner subscribers which is now at 319. The image above is a behind-the-scenes picture of myself visiting Mahalo, which was one of my favorite offices so far.

Hopefully the fact that you are reading this means that you enjoy Office Snapshots. If you haven’t subscribed to the site already, you can do so here.

As always we are offering low-price advertising space on the site. If you are interested, visit here.
