You may not have heard of Plazes, but it’s a pretty neat company. It’s kind of like a location-based Twitter. You can let your friends know where you are and what you’re doing there. And it all revolves around Plazes, which are a fun way to say (and spell) places.
Their offices are in sunny Berlin, Germany. The screen with all the current Plazes is pretty neat. And I guess the coffee machines that start-ups get in Germany are different than the ones here in the US. Mine is a lot less shiny and has one button. Yay for Germany!
Hey everyone, I procrastinated on today’s post and was going to post it from work, but unluckily enough for me, Flickr is apparently blocked here. I’ll go ahead and post it as soon as I get home in about 3 hours. So be on the look out.
I figure we may as well take this time to get some suggestions too, so if you have any companies you want to see, list them in the comments.
InterActiveCorp is a big corporation that owns/controls a bunch of companies like Ask.com, Ticketmaster, Match.com, and College Humor. I’ll let you watch the video below to get a picture of the inside of the building, but the building itself (pictured above) is amazing. It was designed by Frank Gehry, and is located in New York. Hopefully when IAC moves out, OfficeSnapshots.com can move in and get a good deal on rent.
Jajah is a new breed of phone company that is dedicated to giving you low priced phone service through whichever means you prefer. The company has been around for about a year and a half, and has already offered some pretty neat innovations to their service. The one that sounds most appealing is that it no longer requires a computer to offer great rates on calls, just a phone.
Their offices are among many up-and-coming businesses flaunting artwork in their hallways. I personally like the direction many companies have taken to offer a nice, appealing, fun atmosphere. The office itself is located in Mountain View.
Yes, I know, we just wrote about Zazzleyesterday. But they sent us so many awesome views, that we couldn’t fit them all in one post. So here is part deux of their super cool office.
In case you missed what they do, Zazzle lets you design your own shirts, mugs, calendars, hats, bumper stickers, greeting cards, and even stamps. And if you think other people would like your stuff, you can even make a buck by selling it.
