CNET Networks HQ

December 13th, 2007 by Stephen

CNET LogoCNET Networks is the mother of all the CNET properties like Gamespot, CNET, BNET, and Chow. The best way to describe how this type of company works is to relate it to the movie Independence Day with Will Smith. Basically you have a mothership that beams commands and messages down to all of the smaller, but still large alien craft. Luckily for CNET however, Randy Quaid isn’t here to ruin their day.

The majority of these images were taken in 2001 when the building first opened, so no doubt it has changed with the times (mentally replace CRT’s with flat panels). The building looks great with a nice outer brickwork that adds a level of classiness to the mainly tech-centered company focus.

Adobe HQ

December 12th, 2007 by Jose

Adobe LogoAdobe is huge. From Flash, to Photoshop, to Acrobat, to Dreamweaver, if you’re reading this then I bet you’ve used Adobe. Their main offices in San Jose are as big as you might expect, housing almost half of their 6,600 total employees. The two towers are connected by a cool bridge thing. It would be neat if the floor was glass, but I imagine that probably isn’t the case.

Adobe is very often near the top of “Best Places to Work” lists, and it’s not hard to see why. Just look at the basketball court between the two towers. Everything is so shiny and classy, this place is perfect for an Old Money software company.

Williams Group HQ

December 11th, 2007 by Stephen

Williams Group LogoYeah, I know that Williams Group isn’t really a web or tech company, but sometimes we come across office spaces that need to be posted. This is one of them. Williams Group works with companies that wish to tap markets, increase sales, promote events, or increase market share (just to name a few).

Their beautiful office is located in Grand Rapids, MI, which is just the latest iteration of their great office spaces. One was even in what looks like a castle! There are two things that are especially eye-catching to me, one being the wooden-paneled front entrance, and the other being the marvelous natural light. I would love to work there.

Threadless HQ

December 11th, 2007 by Jose

Threadless LogoToday we’re back with more pictures of skinnyCorp.’s offices. If you recall, on Friday we showed you the art that surrounds the wonderful people who brought you Threadless, and today we’re showing you that some work may actually be done in their Chicago headquarters.

One thing that is clear from looking at these photos is that the monitor-to-person ratio at skinnyCorp. is astronomical. As is the crime rate. At least the gunman was wearing a Threadless t-shirt.

Yahoo! New York Office

December 10th, 2007 by Stephen

Yahoo! LogoLast week, we were able to show you the slick looking space Yahoo has in Brazil, but this week its NYC time! If you spend some time in compare/contrast mode between both offices you may notice that the New York one looks a bit less polished. The thing that stands out about the NYC office is the amount of lounging and naps shown. And also the robot and sawn-in-half keyboard. In the end, Yahoo NYC just looks like it would be a hoot to work at.
