Punchcut

March 20th, 2008 by Jose

punchcut logoShockingly, Punchcut has nothing to do with Punch-Out, despite the fact that I misread the logo the first time I saw it. Punch-Out, for example, is an NES game starring Little Mac, Glass Joe, and Mike Tyson, while Punchcut is a user interface design and development company that specializes in mobile products. They’re pretty good at it, apparently.

Punchcut also happens to have an office with a very stylish lobby and a great view. The office is right in the heart of San Francisco, next to Union Square. I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather have my tech company offices, even if it is kind of a pain to drive downtown.

Google Zurich Offices

March 19th, 2008 by Stephen

We’ve posted Google offices before (China, Mountain View, Santa Monica, New York) and they’ve all been great. Today’s post is no different. The Zurich offices are located in Switzerland, which is one of my favorite European cities. They have a great public transit system and the city is just clean and nice. You should go there sometime.

These offices are complete with a firepole, a slide, thinking gondolas, serenity eggs, foam-filled meditation bathtubs, and fishtanks. Pretty swanky if you ask me.

Tonium Office

March 18th, 2008 by Jose

tonium-logo.jpgSweden is fantastic. I love their meatballs, their inexpensive yet stylish furniture, their catchy and introspective pop music (I’m not talking about ABBA), and now, their music mixing technology. Tonium is the company behind the aptly named Pacemaker, a PSP-sized music player that also serves as a DJ system. It’s pretty new, as it’s not even for sale yet, but it seems pretty great.

Also great is their office in Stockholm. Nice views, comfortable chairs, warm lighting, and turntables the size of 100 Pacemakers. Also, there’s a cat on the wall, and he only speaks Japanese(?).

March 17th, 2008 by Stephen

Hey everyone,

We just posted a contest at Home Office Snapshots.  It’s pretty simple, all you need to do is identify some album art found on a computer screen. The contest can be found here.

Have fun!

WayCoolMail - Barn Office

March 17th, 2008 by Stephen

waycoolmail-logo.pngEvery so often, we feature smaller company offices that we think have something neat to offer. Well, WayCoolMail has an office that is pretty neat. First off, the company is a part of Kinetic Web Solutions and located in suburban Philadelphia. They allow you to create customized direct mailers online in minutes.

The office is located in a barn-style building, which surely has a lower rent than an office in Silicon Valley or the Bay Area. The space itself looks pretty homely and rustic, while offering the company plenty of room to grow. Plus, it has a fireplace, so who can complain!
