Syouei Create

March 7th, 2008 by Stephen

logo_l.gifToday’s featured office is definitely not your typical office. For starters, it has a six-meter tall tree growing in the center of it. No not a fake tree, a real one, the kind not made of plastic. The desks are all made of real wood which, along with the tree, give the employees that ‘at the park feeling’.

Syouei Create is a architecture/design company that works mainly on office spaces while dabbling in corporate branding. The company has 35 workers and is located in the center of Tokyo, Japan.

Three Cat Media Office

March 6th, 2008 by Jose

3cat logoApparently, it’s Mostly Midwest Week here at Office Snapshots. Today we’re bringing you Three Cat Media, a marketing and design company located in Chicago, Illinois. They mostly do work for artists (musical and otherwise) and small businesses in the Chicagoland area, and they do it from one of the smallest offices we’ve ever featured on OS.

I know what you’re thinking, and no, there don’t appear to be any actual cats at Three Cat Media’s office. But what they do have is an office so neat and a color palate so subdued that it could double as a nursery–a nursery for computer savvy, IKEA loving babies.

Orbitz - Chicago Office

March 5th, 2008 by Stephen

orbitz_logo.gifOrbitz is the travel site that allows you to make reservations for everything from plane tickets to hotels. If you haven’t heard of Orbitz, you have probably never shopped for travel accommodations online.

This picture was were taken during an office party, which seems to be occurring because there is some sort of emergency situation happening outside the building. I do like the low-walled, not-enclosed cubes. Even though the decor might not be as flashy as a company like Google, this place looks like it could be a bunch of fun.

American Greetings Office

March 4th, 2008 by Jose

American Greetings logoI always thought portholes belonged only on seafaring vehicles. That is, until I saw American Greetings. American Greetings is the largest public greeting card company in the world, and they are quite popular not-IRL as well. Millions of people use American Greetings to send ecards for myriad holidays and special occasions, as well as make personalized cards (and other customizable paraphernalia).

The neatest thing about American Greeting’s headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio is probably their “town square”, which looks like an indoor version of a quiet street corner, complete with an American Greetings store. The only 2 things I know about Cleveland are that 1) it rocks and 2) it is really cold during Browns games, so it is probably quite a draw to have a fake outdoors store inside a warm building.
