Electronic Arts – China Offices

April 23rd, 2008 by Stephen

ea_logo-thumb.jpgElectronic Arts, or EA, as it is affectionately known in my heart “is in the game”. Granted, these offices are not the best ones we’ve ever seen on the site, but if you enjoy being apart of the video game creation process, this place is probably just right for you. While these views give a good idea of what life is like for the desk-jockey, it would be really interesting to see where artists and the higher-ups work.

One thing I notice, is that while they have quasi-cubicles, this particular setup makes team collaboration at the workstation far easier.

Looks kind of swank, I have to admit. I’m not normally a fan of that kind of cubicle layout, but I imagine it really does make collaboration that much easier. :)

I worked there for a couple of years. Unless you’re upper management, it’s basically a sweat shop. Those pictures don’t show where the vast majority of the work is done.

I can see 3D Studio Max open on one of those computers, which suggests that these ARE artists (although other photos look more like QA).
