Xobni Office

May 30th, 2008 by Jose

xobni logoXobni makes me wish I didn’t love Gmail so much. It’s a tool for Outlook that lets you do all the things Microsoft won’t: fast searches, threaded conversations, email analytics, plus it adds a social dimension to your emails.

Fact: Xobni is “inbox” spelled backwards.

Xobni’s office is alright, but the location is unbeatable. It’s located just a couple blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco. Downtown SF is pretty much the best place for a tech office, in my HO. Agreed?

Friendfeed HQ

May 29th, 2008 by Stephen

If you’re anything like me, you’re signed up to a dozen sharing sites and you’ve found logging into them all to view what everyone has shared with you a tad bit annoying. Enter FriendFeed. “FriendFeed enables you to keep up-to-date on the web pages, photos, videos and music that your friends and family are sharing.”

As far as the office space is concerned, I think this one has the most unused square footage we’ve ever seen for a startup. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t know what to put in the part they do occupy. Yep, you guessed it. Ikea and large dell monitors (great employees too).

Look like a place you want to work. Check for openings here.

Vertrue Office

May 27th, 2008 by Stephen

Vertrue is a company set out to save you money. It sounds like they have deals worked out with a bunch of companies offering members to their services discounts. This creates loyalty to the companies offering discounts, as stuff is less expensive through them than anywhere else. Couldn’t tell you if it works, but the company earned somewhere around $800M in 2007.

Their office space is the epitome of the open model. No cubes, no typical organization of the desks, just workplaces tossed around a room with cables coming from the ceiling. Interesting concept if you ask me! Also, love the lobby and conference areas.

Meetup HQ

May 23rd, 2008 by Stephen

Ever wonder where you can find people that like the same stuff as you? If you answered “the internet”, then you’re right. However, if you want to find those same people, only ones that will actually hang out in real life then your answer should be Meetup. Meetup is the world’s largest network of self-organized clubs and community groups and is headquartered in Noho, Manhattan (New York).

The first thing you’re sure to notice about the space is the color red, which weaves itself throughout the office. Meetup is surely a company that values seeing people face-to-face, and their office looks to be full of areas to do just that. Also, I love the wood flooring.

Meetup is hiring! Check openings here.
