Xobni Office
May 30th, 2008 by Jose
Xobni makes me wish I didn’t love Gmail so much. It’s a tool for Outlook that lets you do all the things Microsoft won’t: fast searches, threaded conversations, email analytics, plus it adds a social dimension to your emails.
Fact: Xobni is “inbox” spelled backwards.
Xobni’s office is alright, but the location is unbeatable. It’s located just a couple blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco. Downtown SF is pretty much the best place for a tech office, in my HO. Agreed?

Is that Paul Graham in the red shirt or just someone that looks EXACTLY like him?

Looks like quite a small office. On an off-topic note, I’m quite tempted to take a trip to Bedford(UK) and see if they would let me in the huge Amazon.co.uk warehouse also JCB is pretty close to me. I bet both their offices would be worth sending to OS.

The laid back, hip, pizza eating start up company thing is looking a bit boring. Come on guys.
Also, you need to stop partying and make the software better. It brought my machine down.

Hey Ollie-
That sounds awesome. If it works out for you, we’d love to feature them on OS.
Thanks for the thought!

I’d hate having to work at a start-up making Windows software. Especially for outlook.

@Chris: yeap, that’s Paul Graham.

While I can understand one might not want to make windows software, you have to admit there are LOTS of opportunities for improvements!

Another way to add value to your Outlook is to access trough it to others platforms like Google.
We just launched KiGoo, a free tool that allows Google users to fully manage (create, read, update and delete) their Calendar and Contacts from MS Outlook.
Also KiGoo manage the Free Busy information of your Gmail contacts for appointments if they shared their FB status.
Currently we support Windows XP and office 2007.

I love Xobni! Yeah, it has slowed my Outlook down a bit, but definitely well worth it and the most recent release was definitely a performance improvement. Looks like a hard-at-work start-up to me…
