Stephen is Heading out of the Country

June 23rd, 2008 by Stephen

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know what I was up to and what is going to happening coming up. I’m going to be in Rwanda for the next three weeks beginning tomorrow, so there may be one less post per week during this time. I tried my best to get ahead and schedule my posts over that time, but one or two days might have slipped past me.

I hope you all enjoy the upcoming posts and forgive me for not answering any emails until I get back.

Thanks for reading,
Stephen

YouMeO Office

June 20th, 2008 by Stephen

YouMeO is a small-medium sized social network located in Coventry, England. While it is currently boasts over 400,000 users, it aims to grow past 1,000,000 users by the end of the year. What makes this site unique is the focus given to combining several of your other online presences (like facebook, flickr, youtube) in one place. Another interesting feature is the ability to have different profiles for different people checking your page out.

The company’s offices are quite small, but employees are given enough room to work. And no, it doesn’t have all the amenities of a large company, but it has the essentials like kitchen, lounge area, and hard-working employees.

Rearview Advertising Offices

June 18th, 2008 by Stephen

Chances are that you’ve never heard of Rearview Advertising, but after taking a look at their portfolio, you should really check them out. It is a company that specializes in several areas; advertising, graphic design, and interactive development. Founded in 1998, the company has landed some pretty large clients including Home Depot, Kodak, and Bellsouth.

Their office is housed in a 160 year old building located in Atlanta, Georgia. My first glance went to the awesome brick walls and wooden floors. The other neat thing is that everyone has a large workstation with just enough shared space. All in all, it’s just a nicely laid out office.

Brightcove Office

June 17th, 2008 by Jose

brightcove logoThe NBA Finals are heading back to back to Boston, and so are we! Today we are checking out Brightcove, one of the major Internet TV platforms. Brightcove helps video producers to distribute content, publishers to use it, and the world at large to view it.

One obviously awesome thing about Brightcove is huge jar of M&Ms near the entrance. Once you have a monstrous jar of M&Ms in the colors of your logo, you know you’ve hit the big time. Also big time: the fantastic view of Boston.

In the competitive spirit of the NBA Finals, leave your guess for the final score of tonight’s game in the comments. Closest guess gets $20 in Grooveshark gift cards!

Red Door Interactive Office

June 16th, 2008 by Stephen

Red Door Interactive is described as an internet presence management firm. So instead of simply creating a website in internetland, they make sure people visit the site, and once they arrive, make sure their visit to the website is as useful as possible.

Their office is located in downtown San Diego, California and has a prime view of Petco Park (The stadium the Padres play in). While their aren’t many day games during the week, it is quite a view, and probably the neatest one we’ve covered here. The office space itself is very open, which surely helps employees collaborate when need be. Also, I thought the fixture above the conference room table was pretty great.
