I worked at Edmunds many moons ago, when they had a tiny, crummy office at a West Hollywood studio backlot. I wasn't part of the "tribe" (read between the religious-political lines), so I didn't last very long. I was canned with some vague explanation along the line of "we're growing our company in a new direction and we don't see you fitting within that vision."

E.g., "Fuck off, and don't let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you" --- but you'd never ever ever hear it that directly from anyone at edmunds!

In reading the remarks and comments here, I see nothing much has changed except fancy new offices that I guarantee you every employee feels obliged to grovel with gratitude about.

The work environment at Edmunds is stifling, oppressive, unhealthy, uncreative, riddled with ridiculous office drama, politics, game playing, bone-throwing and catching (and fetching) and sucking-up (and off, occasionally). I'd never go back there in a million years.

I am SURE that when Peter et cronies reads this, they will dismiss it [and all the other "rave reviews" posted here] with an uneasy chuckle as "sour grapes from former employees."

Too bad they can't take some constructive criticism and use it to turn edmunds into the paradise that they could afford to, if they only got their big fat egos out of the way. (Noting that meditation rooms, free fruit and air hockey tables do not a paradise make.)
