Geezeo Offices

August 21st, 2008 by Stephen

Every so often, some people are helped out with their finances by winning the lottery, but last I checked, Lady Luck doesn’t like us (which could actually be a good thing if we were talking about the classic short story). Well, for those of us that like to try and keep tabs on our finances and not leave things up to luck, Geezeo has developed a service that makes that easier. Geezeo has tools that helps you see where your money goes, allows you to create and track financial goals, and also learn from the mistakes of others.

The company have been around for a couple years, and has recently moved into a new space. These pictures are from their newly old space, but they give a good picture of what startup life is like. The company is located in Hartford, Connecticut and seems to share an affinity with us for that light blue color. In any case, it will be nice to see what the future has in store for the company (and their office space).

Reactive Media - Sydney Offices

August 21st, 2008 by Stephen

Reactive is a web design and development company based out of Sydney, Australia, which also has offices in Melbourne and London. Their main services lie is the following areas: strategy, creativity, technology, integrated marketing and project management. Focusing on doing these services well has helped create one of the premier design companies in Australia and and beyond.

As you all know, I love wooden floors. This work area consists of work stations lining the outer walls, with a nice collaborative table in the middle. The office also seems to have a nice amount of light from the combination of overhead fluorescents and good sized windows. Lastly, each employee has a good amount of space for their own projects.

Appcelerator Office

August 19th, 2008 by Jose

appcelerator logoPeople seem to like Appcelerator, and with good cause. Appcelerator is an open source software company that develops products and services for developing rapid rich Internet applications. They like to make make it easier for you to develop sweet apps. They’re nice like that.

Today, we’re taking a look at Appcelator’s new office in Mountain View, CA. They have a pretty nice view of the trees of Silicon Valley. They also have freshly painted red walls. That’s about it, really. I’m guessing they’ll have computers in there, at some point, if they’re serious about this whole “Internet” thing.

YouTube HQ

August 19th, 2008 by Stephen

So apparently someone thought it would be a neat idea to create a website that people could upload videos to and called it YouTube. While that is just about as silly of an idea as a website dedicated to ’searching the internet’, they have an office, so we are obligated to cover them.

YouTube’s office space is located in San Bruno, California and is actually in what used to be the Gap, Inc. offices. These pictures range from mid 2007-mid 2008, so they are pretty accurate as to what it looks like. Oddly enough, the YouTube campus has a large swimming pool, which is something Google’s Mountain View HQ doesn’t even have.

Blend Interactive Offices

August 18th, 2008 by Stephen

Sioux Falls, South Dakota isn’t usually the place I think about when I think of great looking, well-designed office spaces, but after seeing the Blend Interactive offices, that might change. This place is pretty dynamite looking with lots of character. Employees have nice spaces that aren’t cubicles, and aren’t really open either, but instead a nice combo of both philosophies. I also enjoy the art of the walls.

The company does web design and planning, web app development, interactive CD creation, and a host of other things. Interestingly enough, they also do what is called ‘white label development’, which is basically them doing work, you paying them for it, and you rebranding it so people think you created it.

One last fun thing, is that when the gnome is on your desk, that means that you answer phones for the day.
