TOMS Shoes Office – Video Tour

October 21st, 2009 by Stephen

toms-logoFor those of you that haven’t heard of TOMS Shoes, it is a pretty neat business run out of Santa Monica, California. They sell shoes that people like. For each pair of shoes someone buys, they donate a pair to someone in need in the world. the company has grown quite large over the last couple years and looks to only grow larger.

The TOMS office isn’t a typical workplace by any means. As you can see in the video, it is basically a combination office/warehouse that has a collection of interns and employees scattered about. Instead of cubicles, they just hung canvas sheets from the ceiling to give some privacy. The environment seems pretty laid back, but you can’t really complain when the business started out of the guys apartment and has been able to give away over 140,000 pairs of shoes.

I like the idea of using canvas sheets.

if the guy was any more relaxed he’d slip off a chair!

what a great concept and a good use of space given the budget, mode-of-operandi, and organisattonal outlook!

(Keep up the great work Tom.)
