Mozilla Messaging Office

We’re doing something new today. We’re looking at a company’s move from one office to another, so you get to see two different offices. That’s twice as many as normal. Get excited! Anyways, Mozilla Messaging, purveyors of the very popular and useful Thunderbird email client, is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Just like the Olympics I am currently watching!

Mozilla Messaging’s first office was in a beautiful old-fashioned building with great views of downtown Vancouver. I personally like it a little better than their new office, an artsier, more open space in a warehouse-style office building. Also, they seem to share an office with awesome sounding “Boomchains.” I don’t know what that is, so you should leave your best guess in the comments.

Rubicon Project Offices – New York City

In case you were wondering, Rubicon Project is not a Julius Caesar historical research firm. What they are is an advertising optimizing firm. Basically, they figure out what ad would best be placed on your website each visit. and they have currently done thins for over 500 BILLION (wow!) ads.

Rubicon’s office is contained on a fairly small floorplan, but with a great street-view from their large windows. The office is decorated with Rubicon theme colors, complete with rubicon pox on the ground. Each workstation is at a simple table which allows for flexibility in the office layout. Not that I don’t like promo shots, but I love that this office looks like one that is actually worked in. And also played /worked out in on their big tv and workout station.

OpenSpace Coworking Office

OpenSpace is a coworking space located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The space is quite large, at around 6000sf, and can hold a large number of potential coworkers in their varied environment. From tables to private offices, and conference space to brainstorming areas, OpenSpace has it all. On top of that, they have friendly concierges there to assist you with whatever you might need.

The space is very nicely equipped with some great workstations and wonderful natural light. The light fixtures are very stylish and match the overall look of the office. The office furnishings are all top-notch as well, and very comfortable-looking. Nice paint choices, big windows, and a good size kitchen all make OpenSpace a great option for locals to come and get work done.

Creative State Offices

Creative State is a creative company that doesn’t just think outside of the box, they think before the box was even thought up. If John Locke were both a designer and alive, he’d obviously work at Creative State. They create anything and everything that your company might need from flash, company branding, web development, software development, and even photography and SEO.

Their space is pretty indicative of their work as well. We are lucky to see some elements that we have not really seen before, like the center-oriented conference cube. Around which are the employee workstations that leave a huge amount of open space in the office. Color and lighting make this office extra special as well. The conference room is also great looking with its dark wood contrasted with the light chairs. The company is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has one of the most elegantly modern offices we’ve seen.

Neo-Pangea’s Office

If you have ever needed great design work, whether it be print, film, web, or other, you know that finding just the right company can be more frustrating than waiting for ‘Fast and the Furious: Continental Drift’ to be released. Neo-Pangea has developed fantastic work for companies like Nike, Discover Channel, Prego, and Walmart.

The company is located in West Reading, Pennsylvania and has some really great looking office space. Instead of just throwing together a place for people to work, their office has some really nice age and charisma to it. The desks and lounge furnishings just give this space a completely different look than items from Ikea ever could. The light fixtures and fans are by far my favorite decorative feature as they perform well with both form and function.
