Soldier Design’s New Office

May 5th, 2010 by Stephen

Soldier Design, the company we wrote about yesterday, moved into a new space that is quite an upgrade. First of all, the area is much more open, and provides a large amount of natural light through a number of large windows near the main bank of workstations. In the large work room, their custom desks are lined along the wall, giving the team plenty of space to work on projects and not feel too cramped.

The new office also has a large conference space, with a double wide custom set of desks serving as the main table. These desks, teamed with the Eames Molded Plastic chairs tie the space together and look wonderful. The white walls and simple furnishings leave quite an impression. Though maybe not quite as much as the doors, which are either bright and colorful, which contrast the walls, or creatively and artistically designed to draw attention.

This new office is located only a hop, skip, and a jump away from their old office. Both being in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Very well done. One question though. Do your designers find it difficult to focus on their screens when they have light coming in from those windows right behind them?
