SPACE is a communication art research studio in Boston, Massachusetts. This is where the natural curiosity of seventeen contributors manifests into physical space, interactive atmospheres, multimedia installations, film and music projects.
SPACE is a live/work studio in Boston’s South End. This is the only independently owned live/work building in the oldest art district of Boston. There is 1200 square feet of work space that transforms daily. Sometimes you will see it as a fashion design studio or as a sculpture studio or a painting studio, and sometimes it looks like a white cube, a bedroom, or a theatre.
There is a wall dedicated to our Life Archives which includes a library of our amusements, creations, and discoveries. A dog named Chenzira and a dragon named Mr. Watson also live here. Artists in residence sleep in the back, and there is always something going on.
