Meraki Office, San Francisco

If you’ve ever been used WiFi at Starbucks, Burger King, Piggly Wiggly, or Stanford, chances are that you’ve encountered today’s company, Meraki. Meraki is a San Francisco based company that sells cloud-managed wireless network systems.
As you can see from the images, the office is relatively large with a number of employees. The unique part of the office is that it encompasses 2 levels, in a kind of loft setup with the entrance above, and the work area below. The reception is decorated nicely, with some Eames Molded Plastic Chairs illuminated by pleasing track lighting. The workstations in the lower (nether) regions of the office are basic table setups with the normal Ikea spread throughout. The atmosphere seems casual enough, with employees enjoying music, dressing comfortably, and different people enjoying a variety of workstation setups, from seated on an exercise ball to standing.
The office is located in San Francisco’s Mission District, which is near by the yummy Tartine and Frjtz

That seating area/glazed rooms/reception area in the top picture is exactly what we want to do in our office (once we find a suitable space)!
