Adobe Offices - San Francisco

January 19th, 2009 by Stephen

Adobe is a company that makes homes out of a type of mud and straw that is unique to several regions of the world including California’s southwest. They also created many popular applications for computers out of mud too. Just don’t try to stick mud into your cd-rom drive or else you might be sued for piracy.

During one of my visits to SF, I walked past this office on my way from Seesmic to Tokbox, unfortunately I didn’t just walk right in. Had I, I would have seen what looks like a great looking space with tons (thousands of pounds) of natural light. The building also has a wonderful brick exterior, though sadly not made of adobe.

Adobe HQ

December 12th, 2007 by Jose

Adobe LogoAdobe is huge. From Flash, to Photoshop, to Acrobat, to Dreamweaver, if you’re reading this then I bet you’ve used Adobe. Their main offices in San Jose are as big as you might expect, housing almost half of their 6,600 total employees. The two towers are connected by a cool bridge thing. It would be neat if the floor was glass, but I imagine that probably isn’t the case.

Adobe is very often near the top of “Best Places to Work” lists, and it’s not hard to see why. Just look at the basketball court between the two towers. Everything is so shiny and classy, this place is perfect for an Old Money software company.
