Here is a quick video tour of Google’s Chicago office space. As you can see it has most everything other Google offices have like free food, live search tvs, bright colors, and a creative team-friendly atmosphere.
Merry Christmas Eve! Today, we are lucky enough to be bringing something brand new to the internet. Pictures from inside of Google’s newest office space in Stockholm, Sweden. This new space was designed by Swedish Architecture firm, Camenzind Evolution, the designers of the now famous Google Zurich Office. See ALL Google offices here.
When beginning to design the office, it was learned that the employees wished to maintain a small-company atmosphere and leave a Swedish fingerprint on the space, all while combining several Swedish offices into a centralized location for engineers and the marketing and sales divisions.
The office is filled with everything we know to be Google, though with a bit less of the very extravagant elements the Zurich space contained. The conference rooms are themed with famous Swedish inventors like Linne, Ericsson, Nobel, and Bohlin. Several of the other rooms have unique themes as well. Google just seems like a fun company to work for, and this office doesn’t change that belief in the slightest. Plenty of places to play on different games, a great looking kitchen area, and of course many places to lounge make this Google office one of the best. And naturally, this branch of Google pays employees with meatballs.
We’ve shown a few pictures of Google’s offices in NYC, but it is always nice to see the place in action. Here is a quick video tour that gives a little bit of extra detail that pictures just can’t do. Enjoy!
Well, this is our first trip to Saint Petersburg that I can remember, so we will make the best of it. Google always has outrageously decorated offices with lots of space. This one is no different. If I were to point out a elements that I like, I would definitely have to go with the hammock room, the non-traditional light fixtures, and the fake moose floor rug. While this office is fairly normal for Google standards, it is always fun to see what they are up to around the world.
Google’s offices are never normal, but their Washington D.C. office could possibly be one of the most interesting of them all. While Google Zurich has some pretty outrageous amenities, D.C. is said to have 1100 sq. ft. per employee, which is pretty insane. One article believes that this office is meant for only a couple things, neither of which are engineering related: Lobbying and Partying.
This space is pretty normal for Google standards, boasting cubicles, a nice kitchen, huge TVs, and plenty of bright colors. While most people are fans of Google offices, I wonder if their D.C. space would have fit into Pierre L’Enfant’s plan for the city.
