NowPublic is crowd-powered news. If you know something that is newsworthy, you can add it to the site accompanied by video, audio, or plain ol’ images. Its 127k+ members report news in over 140 countries, all working toward breaking and reporting on the news that changes today’s world.
Their headquarters are in Vancouver, British Colombia (Canada) and look really nice. They also recently closed a round of funding for $10.6M, so it would seem clear that they will either be upgrading their space or expanding their employee base (probably both).
