Office Snapshots Tours Six Apart HQ

It’s been a while since we’ve posted any pictures of a Six Apart office, but luckily for you, there are a lot of them this time. Last month, I had the opportunity to take a tour of Six Apart’s headquarters in San Francisco. They were nice enough to accommodate my visit on a super short notice. (Thanks a million to Jane!) Everyone was really nice which makes taking pictures not awkward. Also, one thing that is markedly different about Six Apart compared with other tech companies are the amount of females working there (meaning that there are more).

This space is on the 2nd floor of their building and also has a really great floorplan. One thing that I absolutely love was the brick walls. Down here in Southern California, it seems like everything is stucco and drywall, so the brick is a great change of pace.

Six Apart HQ - Video Tour (fixed)

A little while back we posted some images of the Six Apart office in Tokyo. Ever since then I have been on the hunt for some images of their headquarters in San Francisco. Luckily, I just came across a video tour of the space which should be interesting to watch. I am torn between videos and pictures though. On one hand, I really like the walk through that videos can offer, but on the other hand, a still image’s quality can really make an office space look extra special.

Six Apart - Tokyo Office

logo Have you ever wondered where the the web services Typepad, Moveable Type, Vox and LiveJournal were born? Well, if you had, the answer is San Francisco, and their mother was Six Apart. But in honor of today being the Wednesday, I decided to take us on a trip across the Pacific Ocean to Japan where weblogging is growing exponentially. Six Apart’s presence in Tokyo has helped fuel the growth by providing blogging platforms that fit many different needs. There are currently around 12 employees working at the office which probably doesn’t need lighting due to its bright white walls.
