Shopping for a design company can be a pain, so when you come across an advertising, logo, webdesign graphic design fight, Wilmington Design Company will bring just the weapon you need. However, neither Office Snapshots nor Wilmington Design Company condone violence. So kids, no fighting.
When I came across these pictures a few months ago, I was drawn to them. This space is very unique, and offers something that we haven’t really seen much of here. Privacy and space. While the space isn’t loud or filled with diversions, employees can simply do what they are supposed to (work) and be efficient about it. Cool wall colors, splashes of art, a nice conference room, and a neat kitchenette make Wilmington Design Company a nice addition to Office Snapshots. The company is located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Being creative is best known as humanity’s 9th sense, and as it turns out, many people just don’t have the capacity for a 9th sense. If that’s you, than you’re in luck. Razor Creative is loaded with 9th sense power. They do print work, packaging, web development, and branding.
Razor Creative is located in Moncton, New Brunswick, in a quaint downtown office. The space is nicely colored, with plenty of decorations adorning the walls, as well as quite a few Razor branded items like the clock and door. While there is a lot of space in the office, there aren’t many workstations, but it definitely isn’t sparse. There are many eye-catching visuals, including, but not limited to, the ‘dig deeper’ guy. If I know my desk gadgets as well, I see a Chumby. This place really has the most homely feel of any office we’ve seen that isn’t actually a home office.

Back in the middle ages, web design guilds were always having problems with creating great user experiences to go with their already fantastic infrastructures. So what did they do to solve this problem? Have children. Who then had children, who then had children..and so on. Well, here we are in 2010 and what did these future offspring create? Teknision Inc., which solves the problems that their ancient guild counterparts faced.
You might be calling into question my historical analysis right now, but you don’t need to, I majored in history. So that settles it.
Teknision Inc, is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which is blatantly obvious from the hockey game table they have next to their foosball table. Their offices are quite nice and have some really nice textures throughout, including greenery, wood, and always-wet flooring. Their workstations are all located together with lots of screen real estate. the whole area is lit with a combination of fluorescent lamps and bulb fixtures, which effectively light the space, which providing a nice ambiance. They also have a beautiful conference table, and of course employee fingerprints as art on the wall.

When it comes to your place of work, the place where you spend a good majority of your day, for years on end, it is important that that space is both usable and attractive. For obvious reasons, an office that is difficult to work in will lower your effectiveness at your job. But also, an unattractive space that you don’t like going to could have the same effect.

Parliament Design’s office in Portland, Oregon has to be one of the best examples of usability and design coming together in an office. The space is simply gorgeous, with elegant wood throughout the office, and enough beautifully made custom furniture to wonder why the company doesn’t specialize in that too. The company uses the space to design everything from print materials to retail packaging to websites and animation.
The amount of care and detail around the office is what is really breathtaking. Real firewood, cabinet doors made from old crates, tables made from old barns, and real street signs from Brooklyn. The lighting is fantastic, and the mixture of colors with the cement and wood really make a nice combination. And don’t forget that this is the first office we’ve seen with a bear skin rug.
