No, that isn’t true. But it is true that they are a non-profit research group that helps identify trends and provides insight for how society and the marketplace will be transformed. business strategy, design process, innovation, and social dilemmas… You name it, their able brains are on it. Plus, they’ve been doing it for 40 years, so you can be sure they’re pretty good at it.

Their office in Palo Alto, California doesn’t seem all that futuristic, but it does seem conducive to thinking about the future. Fake palm trees, good lighting, and lava lamps: how could you not put your thinking cap on? I’ve had several epiphanies just looking at the pictures.
