We’ve been featuring some ‘not-so-average’ offices lately, and today’s is no exception. PostPanic creates and produces some of the most creative commercials and music videos around. Let’s head to Amsterdam, Netherlands to have a look at their modern space.
Right of the bat, you’re eyes are sure to be drawn to the dazzling light fixture that seems to be at the perfect angle no matter how you look at it. The bottom floor has an extremely sparse layout, though allows for some creative breakout sessions. The employees have work areas in several places around the office. One example is the light green space, with a combination of computer stations and table space.
And just when you were wondering, “Don’t they have any tapestries?” Of course they have many tapestries. A whole room that is in fact, one giant tapestry. Now, these images show a pristine office, without any trace of the hustle and bustle of an average workday. It would be very interesting to see how the space looks on just an average Monday.

Remember when online greeting cards were the next big thing? Millions of people sent them to each other like it was their job, and I doubt a single recipient cared enough to open one. Real greeting cards, though… people actually like getting those. And that’s where Greetz comes in. Greetz lets you customize and send a real, physical greeting card (with a stamp and everything!) to anyone that you want to tell something to. “Happy Birthday” and “Merry Christmas” are two popular options.
Greetz’ office is located in Amsterdam, and it’s another great office by design stars Pactor, whose office designs we have featured on the site once before. The best thing about this office is how incredibly open and bright it is; it almost seems unreal. I also enjoy how very communal and inviting the lunch area appear, something that is often missing from other offices we see.

It may seem like everyone uses Facebook, but they don’t. Some people, in fact, use social networking sites that aren’t Facebook. Shocking, I know. Here’s a good one, though: it’s called Hyves.net, and it’s very popular in the Netherlands, with over 8.5 million users (that’s over half the population!).
And how great is their office? SO great. The ridiculously bright colors make it look like something out of a storybook or an acid trip, but there’s just enough of the neutral colors so that it doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable. They have pretty views of central Amsterdam from their many windows, and look, even their doors are interesting. The many murals do a great job of giving each room its own distinct personality. All in all, a superb office. Well done, Hyves.net.

Sure, we post quite a few design and creativity company offices here, but only a handful of those are just breath-taking a memorable. Some can be bland, others can be crowded, and still others can be inspiring and memorable. Nothing Amsterdam’s offices surely fit into the last category.
You see, their space is made entirely from cardboard. Yes. Cardboard. It was designed by Alrik Koudenburg and Joost van Bleiswijk. While, I don’t have any idea about what working there is like, the visual of the space is simply amazing.

The Next Web is a blog that follows everything of interest related to the web. They actually began as a conference, called ‘The Next Web Conference‘, but have since expanded to presenting what is going on in internetland more than just a few days a year.
While bloggers don’t typically have an office, these guys do. It seems like they share office space with web-services Wakoopa and Fleck, which in turn were both begun by people associated with The Next Web. They play hallway soccer and hallway bashing, which are both needed to battle RSI. Oh, it’s also located in Amsterdam.
