Macquarie Group is a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services. Basically, it means that they are wealthier than us and can afford offices with a 360 degree view of Cape Town.
When you first gaze upon the wonderment of their offices, I would like to first draw your attention to the colors. Ahh, what a pleasing color palette can do for your eyes. The black looks fantastic with the wood, which in turn looks fantastic with the white and glass. The view is spectacular, and they took every kids’ favorite thing, bunk beds, and made a professional version for offices, sans the bed of course, and built for being professional, doing work and making deals. The bathrooms are elegant. And I still don’t understand astroturf in offices.

If there is one thing I am thankful for in this world, it would definitely be skin. Followed by Jack-in-the-box tacos of course. Union-Swiss is South Africa’s leading distributor of skin products including their number one product called Bio-oil, which is supposed to work wonders on stretch marks and scars. However, the results are probably mixed on scars that have stretch marks of their own.
This office is awesome, hands down one of the best we’ve seen. Very well-lit and spacious. Difficult to know what kind of work goes on here for sure, but whatever it is, the employees must love it. I am in love with the reception desk, the leafy chairs, and the ghost person found in one of the images. Located in Cape town, and I might add that South Africa has delivered some of my favorites to the site.
These offices were designed by Inhouse Design, images sent over by Aiden Hart from the firm.

Ogilvy is one of the worlds largest advertising companies with 497 offices around the globe, which means we could post nothing but their offices for over a year, and still not have covered them all. This particular office is in Cape Town, South Africa, and has a pretty distinct vibe to it. Perhaps it is the dog statues or the mouth-shaped urinals that set it apart from other offices, or maybe it is the fact that if you walked inside, you’d be hard pressed to know that it is actually a place of work.
In any case, you are forced to be creative in the environment, something that has helped the company grow to the size it currently is. They have done work for such mega-brands as KFC, VW, Harley Davidson, and even Coca-Cola.

Today is a double milestone day for Office Snapshots, with the first being the most subscribers ever, and the second being our first office on the continent of Africa.
MXit is a mobile instant messaging company based in Cape Town, South Africa (actually in ‘no man’s land’ between Stellenbosch and Cape Town, but who is keeping track?). They’ve got somewhere around 9 million users in 120 countries, which is pretty impressive. The company also offers many mobile games that their users can enjoy.
The office itself is just a great space for the company to grow into. The look is pretty modern and it has workstations like I’ve never seen. The office also has a fantastic view of the surrounding area, which includes the country’s best wineries. They also have clocks, which, in case you didn’t know, are the most important part of any tech office.
