Dom Arquitectura Offices

Dom Architectura recently designed their new architecture offices in Barcelona, Spain and had this to say about it:

“The place previously used as a store was completely isolated from the outside. The first action we take, is to open the interior space, both the street and the garden outside, so we designed a completely open iron carpentry without studs, continuous glass, providing natural light throughout the space. All the iron is dark graphite gray painted, the same of the interior furnishings. Across the glass surface is placed inside a dark gray screens, to control the space privacy.

As an Architecture studio, we have some details about the profession, the graphite color of the pencils, the prevailing white color like papers and the wall parallel. The inner wall of the room is very irregular. With the goal of unifying all these folds we propose some horizontal lines that run through the wall, painted with the same gray that the continuous pavement. This allowed us to provide the wall of a plot in a gradient, starting with getting rid continuously and gradually breaking up until the roof.”

Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but we have never featured an office from there. Until now, that is. Introducing Softonic! Softonic is a website that provides free, safe downloads to users around the world. Their office houses over 150 employees from 18 different countries across two very nicely designed floors in downtown Barca.

If these images are any indication, Softonic’s employees are very happy people. They have beautiful views all around, a nap room (complete with calming aquariums), comfy couches, massage chairs, fun/inspiring quotes in every room, and an amazing video game setup. We’ve seen a lot of companies, but these guys take their fun more seriously than almost anyone else we’ve seen. What are those eight remotes on the left in the last image? I have no idea, but they look very entertaining.

Cammaert & Eberhardt Office

Send Jose a bunch of Virus’ if I’m wrong, but I believe that Cammaert & Eberhardt is the first editorial design company we’ve featured. If you’re wondering what that is, it means that they design and create the layout of books and magazines (and basically anything that’s printed). Their work is fantastic and can be seen here.

They also run Poolga.com, which has some awesome iPhone wallpapers from a talented pool of artists.

C&E shows us that a lot of great things can be done in a modest space and that you don’t need an outrageous office to be successful. They have simple sawhorse desks packed with some computing firepower. I think having some of their work spread out on the walls adds a bit of atmosphere to the space as well. The company is located in Barcelona.

Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Everyone knows that. What fewer people know is that Barcelona is also home to a healthy tech industry. Infojobs.net, previously covered on OS here, is one such company located in Barcelona, and today we are looking at another: RSB Media.

RSB Media is a digital design firm that has worked with some major companies, including Audi, Absolut, and Nokia. And they have a very nice office. I personally like that they have walls, chairs, and bookshelves that serve as color accents and are the color of the company logo. It gives the IRL office a nice connection to the digital world.

Let’s say you need a job. And then let’s say you live in Europe. Then Infojobs.net is for you! As I’ve just implied, Infojobs.net is one of the top job sites in Europe, specializing in the Spain and Italy markets. So if you find yourself unemployed in Umbria, or laid off in La Mancha, hit them up.

This office is located in beautiful Barcelona. And it’s overrun with golden cats that promote drinking and hanging monkeys that promote hanging. But it’s a nice open space full of light and Spanish women, so they win.
