The offices of Beast, a video editing firm based in Austin, Texas continue a recent theme of natural materials that adorn office spaces. Designed by Specht Harpman, here is the description:

“Specht Harpman outfitted this neglected single-story building on the edge of downtown Austin to house offices for a branch of a creative editing company. Using steel-framed windows as partitions and rough-sawn wood for wall treatments, Specht Harpman designed an interior that embraces local heritage while creating an open, collaborative work environment.”

The New Sweet Leaf Tea Offices

Last time we wrote about Sweet Leaf Tea, the company was making delicious tea, doing a great job, and growing. That growth caused the company to look for a new office for its expanding employee base.

That search led them to this new space that was designed by San Antonio based firm Wiese Hefty. The building that houses Sweet Leaf was built in 1912 and underwent a retrofitting project prior to their occupation of the space. Many of the excess elements were removed, leaving an industrial space that is anything but cold and modern. The new Sweet Leaf offices are warm, inviting, and nicely thought out. The common areas include a gorgeous kitchen, ping pong table, and of course a good-sized conference room.

Sorry for the delay everyone, but we are finally back.

Sweet Leaf Tea is a company based out of Austin, Texas that simply rocks. Their teas are fantastic, my favorite being the Half & Half Lemonade Tea. They began by brewing tea in pillowcases and filling the bottles by hand and have become a big player in the tea market. If you have a second you should go to their website and read more about the history of the company, it is very interesting.

Regardless of their delicious teas, they have a pretty neat office space. While we don’t have a good view of what an employee workstation looks like, we get a good feeling for the ambiance of the place. The branding and color scheme really gives the place a fun vibe and look. Surely when it is filled with tea-infused happy employees, it must be a great atmosphere. Also, I think that dog also knows the recipes to all of the Bush’s Baked Beans products.

TRNSFR Office

Ostensibly, TRNSFR is a creative programming company located in Austin, Texas (and that is really all I could figure out, I dare you to come up with more). I’m pretty sure no work actually gets done, though, considering the amount of skateboarding, Wii playing, reclining, keyboarding, and passing-out that goes on.

As sunny and fun as this office is, it would be nothing with that little seal-dog. Look at those eyes! He’s so cute, I’m beginning to think rear legs should be optional for all dogs.

The space was designed to be open and modern, to facilitate collaboration and creativity, and to pay tribute to the high-tech spirit of Austin. The FAB Architecture team recently recieved the highest honor from the American Institute of Architects for their work on Adlucent’s new offices.
