Cammaert & Eberhardt Office

May 11th, 2009 by Stephen

logo_70Send Jose a bunch of Virus’ if I’m wrong, but I believe that Cammaert & Eberhardt is the first editorial design company we’ve featured. If you’re wondering what that is, it means that they design and create the layout of books and magazines (and basically anything that’s printed). Their work is fantastic and can be seen here.

They also run Poolga.com, which has some awesome iPhone wallpapers from a talented pool of artists.

C&E shows us that a lot of great things can be done in a modest space and that you don’t need an outrageous office to be successful. They have simple sawhorse desks packed with some computing firepower. I think having some of their work spread out on the walls adds a bit of atmosphere to the space as well. The company is located in Barcelona.

Selgas Cano Offices

May 8th, 2009 by Stephen

selgasThe offices of Selgas Cano are by far the most innovate and creative thing I’ve seen in a while. Many times, modern/futurey offices don’t actually seem like places I’d want to work, but this one really has my attention. Perhaps it’s the nature that is right outside, juxtaposed with the sleek interior space that has me picturing myself as their newest employee.

Selgas Cano is a Spanish architecture firm based in Madrid. With the floors below the ground, looking out the window and daydreaming on company time must have an altogether new feeling. The window that opens at the end seems like a good idea, unless of course, you are the employee on the end and it is windy outside.

The Nothing Amsterdam Office

May 7th, 2009 by Stephen

nothing amsterdam logoSure, we post quite a few design and creativity company offices here, but only a handful of those are just breath-taking a memorable. Some can be bland, others can be crowded, and still others can be inspiring and memorable. Nothing Amsterdam’s offices surely fit into the last category.

You see, their space is made entirely from cardboard. Yes. Cardboard. It was designed by Alrik Koudenburg and Joost van Bleiswijk. While, I don’t have any idea about what working there is like, the visual of the space is simply amazing.

Tellme Office Remodel

May 5th, 2009 by Stephen

Jose wrote about Tellme a while back, and it just so happened that they have remodeled their office since those pictures were taken. So Dug from Tellme was nice enough to send over some updated images of the space.

While we didn’t have the best pictures before, these new ones really show the space off well. Very open feel with the high ceiling, and a LOT of natural light. The floorplan looks to be very long, but with partitions to make the space a bit smaller. An of course, the company is owned by Microsoft, so they naturally have a large Master Chief and huge gaming area.

oda Office

April 29th, 2009 by Jose

oda logoWe haven’t featured any fashion design companies before, but oda seems like a great place to start. oda is based in San Francisco and specializes in using socially sound materials and practices to make their clothing, ensuring that their pieces both aesthetically and environmentally pleasing.

oda’s office is pretty. Very pretty. It’s the kind of office you would be afraid to use because you don’t want to mess it up. Not the best place to be productive, perhaps, but definitely a great place to be inspired. And isn’t that the most important part of creating art?
