Just found out that Seesmic has moved to a new location in San Francisco, and here is a quick video tour of the space. While it hasn’t been furnished yet, I can’t wait to see pictures when it has been because with that view, it’ll be pretty sharp. I was able to visit Seesmic on one of my visits to SF, check out those pictures here.
If you haven’t heard of Dailymotion, then I’d suggest you stop wearing cardboard boxes on your feet. What, you haven’t heard that clever euphemism before? Well, I’d suggest you stop wearing cardboard boxes on your feet.
Dailymotion lets its users upload various types of videos to share with the entire internet. The office pictured is located in Paris, France, and looks to be an extremely fun place to work. Employees have plenty of space to get their work done, which it seems gets done quite often, because they are always doing wild stuff like posing for photoshoots, hugging each other, putting chairs on desks, and making colorful paper-box characters. The company also has a great spiral staircase, which is not a usual appearance in tech offices.
So apparently someone thought it would be a neat idea to create a website that people could upload videos to and called it YouTube. While that is just about as silly of an idea as a website dedicated to ’searching the internet’, they have an office, so we are obligated to cover them.
YouTube’s office space is located in San Bruno, California and is actually in what used to be the Gap, Inc. offices. These pictures range from mid 2007-mid 2008, so they are pretty accurate as to what it looks like. Oddly enough, the YouTube campus has a large swimming pool, which is something Google’s Mountain View HQ doesn’t even have.

Seesmic is a company that allows its users to converse with each other and the rest of the web using video. You can record to your stream for people to see or you can add video comments to blogs. Users can also integrate their content to a host of other sites like Youtube, Skype, Twitter, or Facebook.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to drop by their offices during my latest visit to San Francisco and had a really nice time seeing where the magic happens. Instead of being in a single room, they occupy several rooms on the first floor of their building with different aspects of their operation being separated. One noticeable difference of the Seesmic office was the set area where they create some video productions for the site. Lastly, the company has jumped on the cost-effective table workstation trend. Does anyone have experience working at that type of workstation that can comment on them?
Have you heard of Pluggd? Well forget all about it, because what used to be an audio and video search system is now Delve Networks, a video publishing platform. Basically, you can upload your videos, manage them, and then get everyone to watch them. And then you get to watch the dollars roll in.
Delve’s office is located in sunny Seattle. They have nice big windows, red bricks, and a doggy. It looks like the poor doggy wants to go somewhere, but those mean humans forgot to put in a doggy door. Way to go, humans.
